Dr. Lynne Tudhope MBChB (Pret) M MED (Surg)(Vasc Surg)(Pret) BA (Unisa)
After qualifying as a general surgeon in 1999, Dr. Tudhope did the two-year vascular fellowship at Pretoria Academic hospital. During this time she also completed the European Endovascular Diploma.
She also initiated the establishment of the first Unit for Peripheral Vascular surgery affiliated with the University of Pretoria with Prof. J. van Marle, and remains a part time consultant in the unit.
At present she is in private practice in Pretoria, at Montana, Pretoria Heart and Kloof private hospitals. A large part of her practice involves minimally invasive endovascular procedures. She does aortic, carotid and peripheral interventional procedures in a large percentage of her patients.
Dr. Tudhope has a special interest in the diabetic foot and chronic ulceration of the lower limb. For this reason she started the first multidisciplinary diabetic foot and ulcer clinic in the private sector in South Africa at Kloof Hospital in 2003. A second clinic opened at Montana Hospital at the end of 2004.
